July 9th, 2009 at 2:11 pmTo look good on your credit credibility, you have to clear the outstanding amount. If not, terminate the card, arrange for an instalment payment with the credit card company, probably at a lower interest.
July 9th, 2009 at 2:11 pmContact Consumer Credit Counseling Service - they’re able to negotiate lower interest rates and payments for you with the credit card companies that consumers can’t. You can find them online, or if you prefer to call, set aside about 30 mins. for the phone consultation and have all of your bills and income info handy for the call.
July 9th, 2009 at 2:11 pmthe best thing to do is learn from this lesson. Are credit cards worth this headache? When you got them did you think you were going to wind up here? No, no one says that they are going to go into debt so bad I can’t pay it off and have high interest rates. There is life after credit cards. You don’t need them. See if you can surf your cards to a lower interest rate. Then pay what you can when you can. This does not mean you can go off on a vacation then pay your cards. Pay them fast and get rid of them. I don’t have any credit cards and am raising a family. Do it little by little and it will come off. Get a second job if you are able to work it off. Put any extra money towards your debts.
