they are accusing me of credit card fraud. How could it be fraud if they put me on as an authorized user?

If your parents notified the credit card company and put you on as an authorized user, then it can’t be credit card fraud unless your parents are disputing something you charged.
They are however still responsible for the debt because they made you an authorized user. Looks like they are trying to duck a bill!

Was the agreement like charge it as they told you to, AND PAY THEM BACK AS YOU CHARGE ANY AMOUNT? You need to work it out with your parents, if not is their word against yours. Unless you have the authorization by them in writing.

Maybe they meant for you to use it for emergencies and you’ve been using it for frivolous goodies ? Or maybe there are some weird and suspicious charges on their bill, ask them to show you the bill and you can explain each charge YOU made and why - it’s possible someone else got the card # and is charging up a storm. In either event, ask them specifically what they intend you to use for.

Have you been paying them for the charges you made? It is not legally fraud to make use a card if you are an authorized user. However, those charges have to be paid, and if you do not pay for them, your parents have to, and if they don’t or can’t pay on time, it negatively impacts their credit rating. What were the terms of the agreement when they put you on as authorized user as to payment of the charges incurred?

Yeah, what the other guy said..What did you do?

Try to work everything out with your parents. Obviously, if you are an authorized user it can’t be fraud. On the other hand, you always want to have a good relationship with your parents.
    Good luck.
